Ali Youngblood has known of the existance of vampires since she was six years old, when her parents were killed by them. Ever since then, she has been a member of FANG, a secret organization of vampire hunters. With only two weeks until her sixteenth birthday, and her initiation to a senior meber of FANG, Ali can hardly wait. That is until she wakes up on her birthday with fangs! Having no idea what to do, she runs to Megan Keyes, the leader of FANG and her guardian since her parents' death, and learns that her mother was a vampire and that her parents were killed because her mother had married a human, and that she would have died too if Megan hadn't found her first. Not to mention that Ali's mom was no ordinary vampire, she was their queen, making Ali their princess. Ali doesn't know what to do. Will she embrace her new found heritage, even though it could kill her, or will she stick with the hunters and fight her own kind?
